Just a comment to say Splashtop Personal is doing just fine here in 2019 on macOS 10.14.6 and iOS 12.4 - 2.9 GHZ i7 2016 15" MacBook Pro, 2.5 GHz i5 late 2012 Mac mini, iPhone XS, 6th generation iPad.

Yeah, Splashtop has been outdoing themselves lately, and my hat's off to them. But for a business like mine where I'm handling such sensitive information, I need better security, so I use R-HUB remote support servers for remotely accessing computers from anywhere anytime.

Splashtop streamer is completely incompatible with OS 10.10. It was once a decent product but looks to have been abandoned without word. They will still take your money for an internet account, but can’t be bothered to make it work with 10.10 machine. The streamer always crashes when my video card switches from Internal to Discreet & vice versa.

Just updated to OSX 10.9 Mavericks and the OS installer informed me that the current version of Splashtop Remote is not compatible. So far, no update available from Splashtop.

NO MENTION HERE THAT EVEN AFTER YOU PAY FOR THE APP, YOU CAN ONLY CONNECT TO COMPUTERS ON YOUR LAN. IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT REMOTELY (IE, OUTSIDE THE LAN), YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION FROM SPLASHTOP. I FEEL THIS IS DECEPTIVE AS HELL BECAUSE THE DESCRIPTION OF THE APP IS ALL ABOUT MAKING REMOTE CONNECTIONS. BUY THE APP IF YOU WISH, BUT UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TAP ITS POTENTIAL, YOU HAVE TO PAY, PAY, PAY.
